St Andrews Parish Community Concert
On the 26th of November Saturday of last week, students from our Year 12 VET Entertainment Year 12 Music classes volunteered their time to take part in the St Andrews Parish Marayong Community Concert that was raising money for the social justice refugee mentoring program. Our students did a fantastic job with the setting up of Audio equipment by our VET Entertainment students as well as all our music students performing songs alongside the St Andrews wider community in order to help raise awareness about some of the social justice issues that migrant families are faced with. The concert raised over $7000 and was a huge success.
Special thanks to Mr Culbert for liaising with the Parish for giving our Year 12 students a chance to be a part of something special as well as Miss Breeze, Miss Tan and Mr Hoare for giving up their time on Saturday to not only support our students but the local community. A big thank you as well to Dr Kennaugh and Mrs Welch for assisting with the logistics of this event as well as our students’ parents who took their time to watch and support our students and local parish with this event.
