From the Leader of Wellbeing - Year 7
Dear Parent/Carers and Students of Year 7,
As we reach the halfway mark of Term 2, I would like to express how proud I am of the Year 7 cohort for settling into High School life and embracing all the new and exciting challenges and changes that come with moving from Primary school to Secondary school. It has been heartening to see students working diligently on classwork and assessment tasks, getting involved in College activities and forming friendships.

Year 7 Reflection Day
On Friday 9th May, Year 7 students had their first Reflection Day at St Andrews College. The Reflection Day was a powerful day which enabled Year 7 to embrace prayer, worship, fun activities, conversations and reflections. The theme of the Reflection Day was Come and See which encouraged students to explore their individual and communal gifts, following St Andrews example. Thank you to the CYP team and the Year 10 Leaders who led the day. Thank you to Mr Hoare, Mrs Anthony, Miss Tan, Mr Ison, Mr Cetinic and Mrs Dunn for helping to facilitate. Year 7, it was great to see you all getting involved, showing enthusiasm and supporting one another, we are very proud of how you embraced the Reflection Day.
Brainstorm Productions - Verbal Combat
On Friday 23rd May, Year 7 students had the opportunity to watch a performance by Brainstorm Productions as part of their Wellbeing program. The play promotes discussions, learning and personal reflections around respect, responsibility, help-seeking and mental health. Through the performance, students are provided with strategies to help strengthen their resilience and develop positive respectful relationships with their peers. We hope year 7 enjoyed the performance and learnt new skills that will be useful for their future.
Student Achievements
It has been wonderful to see so many Year 7 students become increasingly involved in College life. Congratulations on some terrific results of the students in the Diving Team. All your hard work and practice is shining through. Well done and congratulations to all our students who have been involved in Debating. Congratulations to all students who have been selected in the rep soccer and netball teams, I know you will represent our College with pride and sportsmanship.
