St Andrews College Careers Market
On Thursday the 21st of July the College will host a Careers Market. The Market will be held in the St Andrews Parish Hall from 2pm until 4pm.
Year 10 students will attend from 2pm until 2.45pm. Year 11 and Year 12 students will attend from 2.45pm unless they have a study period in Period 6.
The purpose of the event is to give students an opportunity to gain information on career options and tertiary study.

UNSW Information Evening
The University of NSW will be holding a Degrees and Scholarships Digital Information Evening.
The event will occur on two dates, Tuesday, June 21; and Thursday, 23 June, and will commence at 6pm and conclude at 7pm.
Students only need to register for one evening as the presentation will be the same.
The information evening will cover how to preference your degrees, scholarship application tips and tricks, and how students can show they are more than just their ATAR.
From 7pm until 7.30pm there will be a question and answer session on the following topics:

UTS Early Entry Program
Designed for students who have excelled in Year 11, the UTS Early Entry Program recognises and rewards the hard work that students have put into their Year 11 studies.
Students can preference up to three UTS courses in their application. A full list of course can be found here . The courses listed below will be in the portal in the coming days.

Successful students will be required to meet the following minimum ATAR requirements. Students are to note that these are Raw ATARs - no Adjustment Factors will be considered.
- 80 ATAR for Law courses
- 75 ATAR for Health courses
- 70 ATAR for Education courses
- 69 ATAR for all other courses
Applications are now open and close on Sunday the 11th of September. Provisional Offers will be made on Tuesday the 4th of October. Offers will be converted into full offers once the ATAR has been released.

Blacktown City Council Apprenticeships
These four year apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity to be a professional in your preferred trade. Throughout the first three years of your apprenticeship, you will receive on the job training and be completing a relevant TAFE Certificate. Your fourth year will be a purely practical experience. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be working with, and supported by, qualified tradespeople.

The Australian Institute of Music
The Australian Institute of Music will be holding a 2-Day Music Holiday Workshop on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th July.
These workshops are designed for students in Years 9 to 12 and aim to provide students an opportunity to experience playing music, singing or songwriting whilst being mentored by AIM’s own accomplished musicians and educators.
Workshop #1:: Music Performance
Learn, practice and perform contemporary and classic pop, rock and soul tunes, under the guidance of Australia’s leading music mentors.
Over two days students will be taught to perform and play a mix of songs. They'll also participate in highly collaborative music activities with AIM staff and other students. All students will then have the opportunity to perform the songs they've honed live on our concert stage, in front of family and friends!

Workshop #2: Songwriting
This songwriting workshop is designed for students who are curious about writing songs and performing and is a golden opportunity to work with incredibly accomplished songwriters.
Students will work with professionals to expand their songwriting skills in a collaborative and inspiring environment in this two-day workshop. Participants will workshop harmony, melody, style, lyricism, basic arrangement and/or production and artistic performance. Under the guidance of AIM lecturers, students will use these new skills to write original music in collaboration with other students in the class. Participants will present these songs live in a performance for family and friends at the conclusion of the workshop.

Creative Studio: Story Factory
Presented by the Powerhouse and TAFE NSW, Creative Studio: Story Factory is a three-day digital and creative skills workshop for high-school students Years 7 to 10 in Western Sydney.
In this workshop, students will explore storytelling from the past and bring it into a digital world.
Inspired by the Powerhouse collection, the students will create individual digital publications of their own writing, poetry or short stories which will incorporate graphic design, illustration, photography and videography. Students will have the opportunity to explore and debate the following themes: Aviation vs Space; Travel and Nature vs Technology.
These sessions will be led by Story Factory, a not-for-profit creative writing centre for young people in under-resourced communities across Sydney and NSW building writing skills, confidence and creativity.
This workshop is free, however bookings are essential as places are limited. Students will be required to attend all three days of their workshop of choice.

National Driver Education
National Driver Education is accredited by Transport for NSW as a provider of the Safer Drivers Course for Learner Drivers.
The Safer Drivers Course was developed by Transport for NSW to assist young learner drivers to transition from being a supervised Learner driver to being a safer unsupervised driver when they attain their P’s.
Learner Drivers earn 20 Bonus Hours in their logbook at the completion of the course.
Modules 1 and 2 are conducted on the same day. Refreshments, Morning Tea and Lunch are provided.
