Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Online Survey - Closes soon
This survey will provide us with valuable insights into what our school community thinks about school life including how engaged students are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them. Schools in Australia and around the world use the Tell Them From Me survey to help them improve.
Parents and carers are invited to participate using this LINK
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It would be greatly appreciated if you could please complete this survey by Friday 24 June.
Important Data for Every Learner
I wanted to take this opportunity to show you a snapshot of the data we have for every learner at St Andrews College. All teaching staff have access to this site which assists us in planning for a diverse learning community.
Staff Development Day: Friday 1 July
On Friday 1 July teaching staff will be working together with a focus on Literacy and Differentiation. We all know the benefits of a literate learner, and when we couple literacy with differentiation (tailoring instruction to meet individual needs) it creates a learning environment with the promise of greater student success.
Objectives for the day:
- Collective and collaborative action and discussion about pedagogy that enables all students to succeed, including those who struggle with literacy and promote literacy as a general capability across the curriculum.
- Develop practical plans to build and extend student literacy within each KLA focused on content area literacy as well as disciplinary literacy.
- Develop differentiated literacy strategies in reading and writing that cater to the needs of diverse, accelerated and extension learners.
